234 Pounds of Marijuana Seized

WINTERS, TX Oct. 16 (Winters Police Department) The Winters Police Department conducted a traffic stop of S.H. 153 for speeding over the posted limit.

During the course of the traffic stop, K-9 Phobos was called to the scene and alerted to the presence of an illegal substance inside the vehicle.

A search was conducted and 5 large duffle bags containing 234 pounds of marijuana were located. Two people were arrested and charged with 2nd degree possession of marijuana.

The investigation is ongoing.
