SAPD Hunts for Suspect in North San Angelo Shooting

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is searching for a suspect who shot a 30-year-old San Angelo man at a residence in the 500 block of E. 28th Street.

According to the SAPD, police were dispatched to the residence around 12:21 a.m. for the report of a shooting victim.  Upon arrival San Angelo Police located the victim on the front porch, bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.  An Officer applied a Department issued tourniquet to the man’s leg until San Angelo Fire Department medics arrived and assumed medical care.  

The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment.  The victim’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.  

The unknown suspect reportedly fled the scene prior to Police arrival.  Police believe the suspect may be a Hispanic male in his teens.
