Valadez Sentenced to Ten Years for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child

SAN ANGELO, TX -- 47-year-old Richard Michael Valadez pled guilty to one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child Wednesday in a plea deal with prosecutors that sends him to prison for ten years.  

In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child.  The incident occurred in September of 2016.  

District Judge Jay Weatherby accepted the guilty plea and the plea bargain.  Valadez had been held in the Tom Green County jail in lieu of $420,000 bond.
