Stabbing Suspect Identified, Charged With Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon

 

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Ala Abdelhadi, 32, was arrested on Wednesday in connection to the Tuesday evening stabbing of a 15-year-old at River Pointe Apartments.

According to an SAPD press release from Sergeant Matthew Vaughn, around 4:45 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 12, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the River Pointe Apartments in reference to said stabbing.

Two children residents of the apartment had a dispute that, according to SAPD, "led to the parents of those children engaging in an argument."

Abdelhadi then got involved in the altercation with the the stabbing victim 

According to the press release, Abdelhadi used a pocket knife to stab the victim multiple times. Abdelhadi then fled the scene in a black Lincoln. The victim was transported to Shannon Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers provided a license plate and vehicle description for the car in which Abdelhadi fled. Other officers located the vehicle near the intersection of Bell Street and Pulliam Street. Abdelhadi was taken into custody at that time with no further incident.

Abdelhadi was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
