SAPD Arrests One in Meth Bust

 

SAN ANGELO, TX-- On Monday, September 11, 2017, Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division and S.W.A.T. Team executed a Search Warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Pulliam Street. 

The warrant, issued by Judge Tom Gossett, named 32-year-old Damien Ray Medina to be in possession of methamphetamine at the residence.  

Medina was located at the residence and detained.  Prior to the search, San Angelo Police Service Dog Duke was deployed to conduct an open air sniff around and inside the residence.  After deployment, Duke alerted Officers to the presence of narcotics and Investigators subsequently located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. 

Medina was arrested for State Jail Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and Class B Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.  Medina was transported to the Tom Green County Jail. 

The Department’s Patrol Division and Center for Tactical Medicine Team assisted with yesterday’s operation and SAISD Officials were notified prior to the search due to the residence’s close proximity to San Jacinto Elementary School.
