East San Angelo Methamphetamine Raid Suspects Identified
SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Police and Federal agents with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms raided a house in east San Angelo late Wednesday arresting five suspects.
According to court and jail records, two men and three women were charged with numerous drug related offenses after being arrested at a house located at 209 Lipan Dr.
25-year-old Brandon James Blanke is charged with two counts of possession of marijuana, one count of theft, one count of expired vehicle registration and two other charges. His bond was set at $10,960. Blanke remains in the Tom Green County Jail.
Michael David Korthals, 39, is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. His bond is set at $7,500 and he remains in jail.
Kathryn Anne McWilliams, 31, is also charged with possession of a controlled substance and her bond is set at $7,500. She was still in jail Thursday.
Kayla Rae Brown, 26, and Theresa Diana Allen, 39, were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and were released on $642 bond each.
As we reported late Wednesday, the house is the listed address of David Navarro, who is in jail as a suspect in the murder of Eric Torrez.
The search yielded a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The San Angelo police provided more details late this morning:
On Wednesday, September 6, 2017, Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division along with Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) executed a Search Warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Lipan Street.
The warrant, issued by Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard, named 31-year-old Kathryn McWilliams to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
McWilliams and four subjects, identified as 39-year-old Michael Korthals, 26-year-old Kayla Browne, 39-year-old Theresa Allen, and 25-year-old Brandon Blanke, were detained during the search, which subsequently yielded the seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Following the operation, McWilliams and Korthals were charged with State Jail Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1. Brown and Allen were charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Blanke was arrested for outstanding warrants.
The Department’s Patrol Division assisted with the operation.
