San Angelo DPS Office Closed Due to Storm Damage

SAN ANGELO, TX — Effective immediately, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is temporarily closing the San Angelo Driver License Office (located at 1600 W. Loop 306) due to water damaged caused by Saturday's unexpected rain storm. The office will be closed until further notice as the department works quickly to complete these necessary repairs.

During the temporary closure, customers may visit an alternate DPS Driver License Office. If a customer already had an appointment scheduled this week at the San Angelo Driver License Office, the  appointment will be worked in at one of the following offices: Midland, Big Spring, Ozona, Sonora, and Brady.  For office hours and additional information on driver license offices across the state, please visit: http://www.dps.texas.gov/administra….

Many Texans are eligible to skip the trip to a driver license office altogether and instead take advantage of online services for driver license/ID card renewals, duplicates or address changes by visiting Texas.gov. Customers can also renew by phone at 1-866-357-3639. The eligibility requirements for phone renewal and online renewal are the same. The fee is the same for online, in-person and telephone renewals.

CDL skills testing will not be affected by this closure.
