SAPD Investigates Strange 9-1-1 Call About a Stabbing in a City Park

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — At 12:30 p.m. today, San Angelo police responded to a possible aggravated assault victim at Producers Park at 67 N. Schroeder Ave.

The initial report indicated a stabbing may have taken place involving multiple suspects.

"Officers converged on the area and were able to locate the caller who indicated that he possibly stabbed somebody," SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez, stated. The caller ran from the park to a local business before calling for emergency services.

Police came into contact with the caller at San Angelo Pellets located at 1111 N. Bell St. 

The caller was transported by ambulance to a local hospital because police had concerns about the caller's medical condition. In the meantime, police are attempting to locate vehicles matching the descriptions given by witnesses. 

Producers Park is a city park located off Ricks Dr. in the Paul Ann area.

Gonzalez added that the investigation is still ongoing and all information is preliminary.
