Convicted Felon Caught with Narcotics and a Firearm During Traffic Stop

 

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- A 48-year-old San Angelo man was arrested early Monday morning on drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop near downtown San Angelo. 

Shortly after 12:00 a.m., the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division directed Patrol to stop of a motorcyclist in the 500 block of W. Beauregard for an observed traffic violation.  

The driver, identified as Chuck Robert Holcomb, was arrested for operating the motorcycle without a Class M Endorsement.  During a search of Holcomb and the motorcycle, Officers located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a loaded sawed-off shotgun. 

Holcomb was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and charged with Felony 3 Possession of Controlled substance Penalty Group 1, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, No Class M Endorsement, and Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction/Suspension/Without Financial Responsibility. He is currently being helod in an $18,444.00 bond.
