'Lil Show' Makes it Big on the Texas DPS Most Wanted Fugitives List

AUSTIN, TEXAS — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) added Samuel Steel, 22, a confirmed Bloods gang member, to the Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.

In April 2013, Steel was convicted of Assault of a Public Servant after he physically assaulted a correctional officer in Lee County. He subsequently received a 3-year sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison, according to a Texas DPS press release.

While incarcerated in TDCJ, Steel had a history of engaging in sexual misconduct.

In July 2016, Steel was allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery during the middle of the night at an apartment complex in Copperas Cove. During the incident, a group of armed male subjects, including Steel, robbed multiple victims at gunpoint inside of an apartment.

On September 28, 2016, the Coryell County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Steel's arrest for Aggravated Robbery.

Steel is known to have ties to Copperas Cove and Killeen, and Kalamazoo, Michigan. He's an African American male, 5'7'' in height and weighs 150 lbs. He also goes by aliases, Samuel Steel IV, "Too-Hot", and "Lil Show." DPS is offering a $5,000 award for information leading to his arrest.

Steel has distinguishing tattoos on his body with a "5" on the top of his right hand, and a "9" on his top left hand. He also has a dog tattoo with "BARK LOUD" written above it on right side of the abdomen, along with other tattoos on his chest, face, and right shoulder.

Steel has a scar on his front right shoulder, and may be known to wear glasses.

Steel's last known address is 804 Shady Lane in Copperas Cove.

All tips are anonymous, regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and Sex Offender lists. The current lists – with photos – can be found on the DPS website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/texas10mostwanted/.
