Abilene Robbery Suspect Threatens to Kill Store Clerk Over Cigarettes

ABILENE, TEXAS -- Abilene police are investigating two overnight convenience store robberies. During one of the robberies, one suspect threatened to kill one of the store clerks.

According to the incident reports, around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, two suspects walked into a 7-11 convenience store, located at 51510 Hwy 277. One suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money.

Police say the suspects threat caused  the clerk to “fear for his life.”

The suspects took money, cigarettes and beer during the first robbery.

The second robbery occurred around 4 a.m. Police say a different suspect walked into a second 7-11 store, located at 2689 Buffalo Gap Road, and threatened an employee with a knife. The suspects stole cash and an “unknown number of cigarette packs” before running off.
