Drunk Pregnant Woman Leads Brownwood Police in High Speed Chase

 

BROWNWOOD, TX – Amber Elaine White, 26, was arrested Thursday afternoon after leading Brownwood Police Department on a high-speed chase through the city. White, who is pregnant, was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

The incident began when concerned callers alerted police that a reckless driver was traveling south of Bangs at around 1:00 p.m. According to a local news source police then attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but White proceeded to evade police during that time.

A chase perused. The chase led officers through north Brownwood where White was observed speeding at 60 mph within city limits. For eight minutes police actively pursued White as she almost collided with an officers and a sheriff's deputy vehicle.

The chase came to an end at the Kwik Kar Oil and Lube on East Commerce Street after her tires went flat. Officers from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to help with the chase.

White was then arrested for evading arrest, driving while intoxicated, and aggravated assault of a police officer. Her bonds total $23,000.
