Wanted Suspect in Stabbing on Northwest Side of San Angelo Nabbed in Traffic Stop

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police are investigating a stabbing in the northwest side of the city.

According to observations from our reporter at the scene, the incident occurred in the 2600 block of Juanita Ave. One ambulance has already left the scene carrying a male patient. We believe he was the stabbing victim and the extent of his injuries are unknown.

We are unsure where the suspect is right now, or if police have a suspect or suspects in custody. More details are pending police investigation.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Friday.

Update 6:22 p.m.

Police said that a male was running through alleys suffering from a stab wound and sought help at the Juanita address. The suspect is still at large, police said. Detective Hernandez is leading the investigation.

We hope to have another update when the public information officer releases it, likely tomorrow morning.

Update 8:09 p.m.

Just before 8 p.m. San Angelo police found the suspect in the stabbing reported on the northwest side of San Angelo.

According to the arresting officer, the suspect was nabbed in a traffic stop on the westbound frontage road of the Houston Harte Expressway between Garfield St. and Glenna Rd. He was driving a white Ram 1500 pickup. Police did not name the male suspect.
