Texas Game Wardens Search for Illegal Hunters

RUNNELS COUNTY, TX - A Texas Game Warden in Runnels County has filed charges on multiple individuals for allegedly killing nine deer illegally.

In the act of killing these deer, the group also allegedly shot and damaged transformers and regulators that belonged to Coleman County Electric COOP (CCEC).

The Texas Game Wardens Facebook page said, “Evidence found at the scene where some of the deer were shot included a ‘love letter’ with names that led a Game Warden to one of the shooters.”

Pending cases involved with this crime include felony criminal mischief, hunting without consent, hunting deer at night, and hunting deer from a public road.

The Facebook post noted that cases and Civil Restitution are pending as well as a bill from CCEC for damage.
