20-Year-Old Big Spring Man Shot Multiple Times

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Last night, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Big Spring Police officers dispatched to Scenic Mountain Medical Center in reference to a gunshot victim. Big Spring PD officials said when officers arrived at the emergency room, they contacted the victim, 20-year-old Trig Gilkey. He informed officers that he had been walking in an alley between Wood and Sycamore St. when an unknown person shot him multiple times.

"Gilkey was shot in the abdomen, shoulder, and leg," said Big Spring PD officials. "Gilkey was subsequentl flown by helicopter to University Medical Center in Lubbock for his injuries sustained."

Officers located the crime scene in the alley of the 1500 block of Wood and Sycamore. They located evidence of the shooting. 

"The Big Spring Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating this incident," said Big Spring PD. "Gilkey's condition was unknown at the time of this release."
