Brady Police Arrest 24-Year-Old Man For Meth After Traffic Stop

 

BRADY, TX - Brady Police arrested a 24-year-old Brady man for possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop.

Chief of Brady Police Steve Thomas said, on Oct. 20, at approximately 10:30 p.m., John David Gonzales was stopped for a minor traffic infraction.

"A check of Gonzales' driver's license showed it to be currently suspended, and he was subsequently arrested for that violation," said Chief Thomas. "While performing an inventory of Gonzales' vehicle prior to impound, a small, yellow bag containing a crystalized substance was located. The substance field tested positive as methamphetamine and was seized as evidence."

Gonzales was transported to the McCulloch County Sheriff's Office where he was booked for Driving While License Invalid/Enhanced (due to previous convictions) and Possession of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, Less than 1 Gram (Methamphetamine).
