U.S. Border Patrol Arrest Mexican National Wanted for Murder

A press release announced today that U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station arrested a Mexican national wanted by authorities in Dallas for homicide.

On Aug. 29, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station arrested Martin Reyes-Duque, 38, a Mexican national after he illegally entered the United States. Border Patrol agents discovered during processing that Reyes-Duque has an active warrant dated Aug. 20, 2014, and is wanted for homicide in Dallas.

Reyes-Duque has been previously deported from the United States and faces a charge of illegal re-entry after deportation, which carries a possible sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

“The apprehension of this individual shows the cooperation among all local, state and federal government entities bringing criminals to justice,” Acting Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Matthew J. Hudak, said. “I commend our agents for their dedication and vigilance they show each and every day protecting our homeland.”
