Abilene Murder Suspect Arrested in Arlington

 

Abilene, TX - On Monday August 22, an Abilene man, Manuel Garcia, was arrested in Arlington, Texas after being on the run since April 17. Garcia is currently wanted for the murder of Ryan “Chucky” Roberts, 32.

According to local news sources, Garcia was charged with murder after investigations concluded he had shot Roberts in the head. He also injured Dewayne Welch, 32, after shooting him four times.

Alongside the murder and aggravated assault charges he faces in Abilene, Garcia will be charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a prohibited weapon. Bail was set at $260,000.

Garcia was arrested close to Six Flags Over Texas and booked into the Arlington jail at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Garcia will be transported to Abilene in the upcoming days where he will be awaiting trial.
