Police Arrest 2 Brothers After Locating Drugs on Search Warrant

Today, San Angelo Police Department Detectives with Street Crimes Unit obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 1800 block of Martin Street. The home's occupant, 31-year-old Damien Medina, was suspected of being in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, said Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for SAPD.

"The Department’s SWAT Team executed the “High Risk” warrant at the residence, and Medina was located inside along with three other subjects," said Gonzalez.

She added that a search of the residence resulted in the discovery of approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, a small quantity of marijuana, and approximately $1,000 in U.S. currency.

"Medina was arrested for Felony 1 Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and an outstanding Felony Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Medina’s 33-year-old brother, Daniel Medina, was arrested for Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.  Both were transported to the Tom Green County Jail," Gonzalez noted.

The two other subjects located inside the residence were not charged.
