Couple Busted with Meth After Major Car Crash

"NVY ME" was printed on the license plate of a blue Chevy Malibu that pulled out in front of a Chevy truck yesterday and caused a major crash.

The driver, 43-year-old Alfonso Andrew Galindo, took off running, inexplicably armed with a large orange purse. The passenger, 28-year-old NIchole Ann Galindo, was left in the car injured, seated next to a small black purse containing 8.6 grams of meth. It was enough to land both of the occupants of the vehicle behind bars on Monday, charged with first-degree manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Galindo was also injured in the crash and transported to Shannon prior to being booked into the county jail.

In addition to the couple, two more were jailed for fighting on Monday, as well as two booked for public intoxication. Another individual was booked for assault, one was charged with theft, and one was booked for burglary. There was also a DWI.

Twenty-three individuals were jailed in total on Monday, while 29 were released.
