Stabbing Suspect Still At Large

 

A 53-year-old San Angelo man remains hospitalized in stable condition after he was stabbed this weekend.

On Friday, May 29,  shortly after 4 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the unit block of E. 25th Street for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, Officers and Fire Department Medics located the victim who appeared to be suffering from a stab wound located on his abdomen.  The man was transported to Shannon Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery.  His injuries were not life threatening and he is reportedly in stable condition. 

Detectives with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and CSI Technicians were called out for further investigation.  The weapon used in the assault was not located at the scene.   

Several witnesses at the scene were interviewed about the incident, however, no arrests have been made at this time and the motive for the assault is unknown. 

This is an ongoing investigation and police are following up on several leads.
