DPS Trooper Apprehends Subject Wanted for Murder

 

WICHITA FALLS – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop Thursday on US-287, which led to the arrest of a suspected Fort Bend County murder suspect.

At approximately 10:31 a.m., a DPS Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Nissan passenger car, traveling southbound on US-287, for a traffic violation, near Iowa Park in Wichita County.

After the traffic stop was made, indicators of criminal activity were noticed. The Trooper identified both the driver and passenger of the Nissan. The passenger was identified as Cortney Deon Wilson, 38, of Dallas.

The trooper found Hashish in the vehicle and during a routine records check, discovered that Wilson had an outstanding murder warrant out of Fort Bend County, Texas.

Wilson was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance over one gram but less than four grams, a third degree felony, and was booked into the Wichita County jail.
