Police Arrest Suspect in Armed Shell Station Robbery

 

A 28-year-old man accused of holding up a Shell station at gunpoint on Monday night has been apprehended by police and jailed for aggravated robbery. 

Police responded to the gas station in the unit block of N. Main at approximately 10:59 p.m. on March 2, after dispatch received a call of a robbery in progress. 

Upon arrival, police learned the suspect had already left the scene. The clerk in the store stated a white male entered the store with a handgun and demanded the money from the cash register.  After receiving the money, the suspect left the store.

Police identified Jamie Sean Watson as the suspect during the course of an investigation conducted by members of the Criminal Investigation Division, the Special Operations Unit and Crime Scene Unit

 

After conducting surveillance, members of the Patrol Division and Special Operations Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of E 19th on a vehicle being operated by Watson.  Watson was taken into custody.

Watson was arrested for Aggravated Robbery and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.

There is no other information to be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
