Man Jailed for Sexual Assault of Child Wednesday

 

A 23-year-old San Angelo man was picked up on a capias warrant for sexual assault of child on Wednesday, having been indicted this month on the second-degree felony charge by a Tom Green County grand jury. 

Joshua Gene Fulton is accused of sexually assaulting the victim, who was under the age of 17, on Oct. 17, 2014, records indicate. He was picked up by deputies of the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office yesterday evening and booked into the jail at 6:38 p.m. Fulton is currently being held in lieu of a $2,500 surety bond. His case has been filed with the 51st District Court and is being prosecuted by Ashley Knight. John Young has been appointed as his defense attorney. 

Also booked on Wednesday were two charged with DWI, two charged with assault, two charged with PI and two charged with theft. One person apiece was charged with marijuana possession, manufacture/delivery and possession of a controlled substance. Several of those jailed were booked on warrants or committments from past offenses. 

Twenty-nine inmates were released on Wednesday.
