Two Rushed to Hospital Following Reported Shooting in Southland

 

Two people were rushed to the hospital following a shooting in Southland at the 5800 block of Blue Grama Trail Sunday evening.

There were four San Angelo police cruisers and two patrol pickups at the scene. The detectives from the criminal investigations division of the San Angelo Police Department were on the scene as well Sunday night.

About a eight or nine neighbors were out in the front yards viewing the commotion.

Update 10:55 p.m.

According to San Angelo police officer Wes Bodden, an elderly couple lives at the address. “It appears to be a domestic issue between the two. And either they shot each other, or one shot the other and then himself," Bodden said. Detectives Brian Elkins and Rodney Black are heading the criminal investigation.

Bodden said that he does not expect further information will be released tonight.

Update 11:07 p.m.

The condition of either party was unknown Sunday night. They were taken to separate hospitals, according to police.
