Burglars on Bicycles Busted by SAPD

 

A burglarizing bicycle gang was busted on Thursday morning around 2:00 a.m., when SAPD Police Officer Gesch noticed the two juveniles at an intersection without lights on their bikes.

Seventeen-year-old Johnathon Correa and his underage companion had stopped at the corner of Preusser and Emerick when Gesch observed the couple. Upon investigation, police determined that Correa had gotten an early start on his criminal career, and had an outstanding city warrant.

Both Correa and his companion were found to be in possession of iPads stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of S. Park. The juvenile was also in possession of Marijuana, Correa had some stolen cash.

Correa was arrested and taken to Tom Green County Jail for an outstanding city warrant and Burglary of a Vehicle. The juvenile was arrested on a Class B Misdemeanor Possession charge and was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for Burglary of a Vehicle.
