One Dead After 18-Wheeler Flips in Nolan County

 

NOLAN COUNTY, TX-- The Texas Department of Public Safety is reporting the driver of an 18-wheeler died in a one-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

The crash occured at 7:50 a.m. on I-20 when the 1995 Peterbilt operated by driver, Michael Norris Hefley, 59, of De Kalb, veered into the median, hitting a cable and rolling onto its left side.

Hefley was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Conditions were partly cloudy and the roadway dry at the time of the accident.

DPS is still investigating the crash.
