4 Dead in Horrific Crash in Callahan County

 

CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX-- KTXS is reporting that four people have died in a crash on I-20 near Putnam on Monday morning.

The crash happened when a red pickup truck, traveling westbound, crossed the median to the eastbound lanes at Exit 322 and collided with a Love's tanker truck just past 8 a.m. 

The cab and bed of the pickup truck detached from each other.

The crash has caused traffic to back up for "a couple of miles," according to KTXS.

The Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the crash and will release more details in the preliminary crash report.
