One Dead in Callahan County Motorcycle Crash

BAIRD, TX-- The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating a crash that claimed the life of one on I-20 Sunday night.

DPS says the victim was John Gray Archa, 47, from Fresno, Calif.

The preliminary investigation from DPS has yielded that Archa was eastbound on I-20 on his 2005 Yamaha when he hit a gap while switching lanes, causing him to lose control of his bike. Archa and the bike would slide into the median, hitting two cable posts the DPS report said.

Archa was transported to the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is still ongoing.
