Merging Truck Barges onto the Loop, Flips Honda SUV

SAN ANGELO, TX — One woman was rushed to the hospital following a rollover crash on the eastbound side of Loop 306 near the Southwest Blvd. exit.

According to San Angelo Police Traffic Investigator Officer Gochenauer, the crash was caused by the driver of a tan truck. The truck’s driver, Gochenauer said, merged onto the loop there without respecting the right-of-way to the traffic already established on the freeway.

The tan truck collided with a black Honda SUV, causing the Honda to rollover. The sole occupant of the Honda was rushed to the hospital via ambulance.

There was minimal damage to the tan truck and none of its four occupants were injured.

Police issued the driver of the tan truck a citation for failing to yield the right-of-way when merging onto a highway.
