Three Killed in Alcohol Related Crash in Odessa

 

ODESSA, TX -- Three people died in a fiery crash overnight in Odessa.  The Odessa Police Department reports four other people were injured.

According to investigation reports, at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night a black Dodge Challenger was following a white van on Yukon Road at a high rate of speed.  The Challenger struck the van from behind causing both vehicles to catch fire. 

The three occupants of the van were pronounced dead at the scene.  The four occupants in the Challenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Odessa Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
