Unsafe Lane Change Causes Two Vehicles To Collide

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Just after 11 a.m. today, two vehicles collided at the intersection of S Abe St. and W Concho Ave.

Officer Loudermilk with the San Angelo Police Department responded to the scene and determined that both vehicles were traveling south on Abe St.

"The driver of the [light blue] Mercury passenger vehicle attempted to go into the wrong lane to cross into the left [lane] and make a turn onto W Concho Ave," officer Loudermilk explained. At that time, the Mercury collided with the maroon Chevy pickup. Both vehicles were moved to the side of the road, and neither driver sustained injuries.

The driver of the Mercury was given a citation for Unsafe Lane Change. The Mercury was the only vehicle needing to be towed from the scene.
