Driver Fails to Yield Right of Way, Collides with Volkswagen

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Around noon today, a two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Edmund Street and Wilson Street.

A white Mazda was traveling southbound on Wilson when it failed to yield right of way to a dark blue Volkswagen that was traveling eastbound on Edmund Street.

The impact forced the Volkswagen to drive onto a nearby lawn. The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

On-scene police officer, Officer Bouligny, said the driver of the white Mazda was given two citations, one for failure to yield right of way on a left turn and one for no insurance.
