Man Not Wearing His Helmet Crashes Motorcycle on US HWY 67

 

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Shortly after 11 a.m. this morning, a man driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle lost control of his unit and crashed near the crossing of US HWY 67 and Thompson Road. 

The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. As he crashed, the male hit his head and leg on the pavement. He was transported to Shannon Medical Hospital with incapacitating injuries, Department of Public Safety Officer Montano told our on-scene reporter. 

At the time of the crash, the male's father and fiancé were traveling behind him in a personal vehicle. 

The posted speed limit at the location of the crash is 75 m.p.h. Investigating officers, at this time, do not know how the driver of the motorcycle lost control of his unit.
