Driver Rear Ends 3 Cars, Flees The Scene

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS --  Earlier this morning, San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) officers responded to a four-car pile up near the crossing of College Street and Oakes Street, near the Shannon Medical Emergency Center.

A vehicle was traveling on College Street when it hit a parked car, Sgt. Tinsley said. The impact caused the parked car to rear end two other parked vehicles.

The driver of the vehicle who caused the accident fled the scene as officers approached. He was later apprehended by officers and identified by a witness and the passenger of his car.

No incapacitating injuries were sustained during the accident. Charges are pending as SAPD officers investigate.
