Brownwood Man Dead After Crossing State Highway

 

CROSS PLAINS, TX – At approximately 5:37 a.m. Sunday morning, a 2010 Chevrolet Pickup towing a boat trailer was traveling north on SH206 in Cross Plains, when it hit a pedestrian walking across the roadway. The pedestrian, Fernando Alvizo, 34,of Brownwood, was pronounced dead on the scene. 

The driver of the Chevrolet, Andrew Davis Campbell Jr., was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured during the crash. Alvizo's body was taken to Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains

The weather and road conditions were clear/cloudy and dry. The posted speed limit was 55 mph.  

 This accident is currently under investigation. Sergeant Fred B. Biddle III, with the Texas Department of Public Safety, noted that the above information is from an investigators preliminary report. The above Information can change or new information can be added as the accident investigation continues.
