Two Women Killed in a Two Vehicle Collision

NOLAN COUNTY, TEXAS – Yesterday evening, at around 7:50 p.m., two vehicles collided near Roscoe, Texas on US-84.

A 2010 Nissan Altima approached and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Business 84 and Us-84 just north of Roscoe. However, the Nissan failed to yield right of way and pulled out in front of a 2000 Kenworth towing a trailer. Consequently, the Kenworth struck the Nissan on the drivers side.

The driver of the Nissan, Tasheanna Roshanda Health, 30, and passenger, Jacqueline Denise Porch, 50, were both pronounced dead on the scene. Health was wearing her seatbelt, but Porch was not. Both were Las Vegas natives.

Robstown resident, Victor Delos Santos, 62, the driver of the Kenworth, was treated for injuries and released at the scene. He was wearing his seatbelt.

Both Health and Porch were taken to McCoys Funeral Home in Sweetwater, Texas.

The posted speed limit at the location of the accident is 75 mile per hour and the road conditions at the time of the accident were clear/cloudy and dry.

This crash is still under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
