Early Morning Crash Claims Life of Woman in Stephens County

 

STEPHENS COUNTY, TEXAS – A single motor vehicle accident claimed the life of a 63-year-old woman early Sunday morning.

The woman, later identified as Teresa Perry Bosworth, was traveling east on FM576 in a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, when she entered a curve and went off the road and into the South side ditch. A press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety stated that the vehicle rolled several times before it came to a rest in the North side ditch.

Upon further investigation, investigating officers noted that the driver had not been wearing her seatbelt. She was not ejected from the vehicle. 

The fatal accident occurred 6 miles south of Breckenridge where the posted speed limit was 70 miled per hour. The weather and road conditions at the time of the crash were clear/cloudy and dry.

Bosworth was taken to Melton Funeral Home in Breckenridge. This crash is still under investigation.
