SAN ANGELO, TX — Maybe he should have stopped a Starbucks to get his caffeine fix. If that was where he was headed, he overshot his target. Instead the driver said he fell asleep and lost control of his 2007 Ford Mustang.
The driver hit a curb near Starbucks, then slammed into a post, causing the Mustang to flip over, landing in the next door parking lot of Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen.
San Angelo Police Traffic Investigator Ed Hunger said the driver sustained minor injuries. “Maybe some scratches,” he said. Hunger said the driver will likely be cited for Failure to Control Speed.
