24-Year-Old Hamlin Resident Dies in Crash on US 83

 

JONES COUNTY, TX - This morning, at around 11:40 a.m., 24-year-old Callan James Garner, who was living with family in Hamlin, died in a one-vehicle crash on US 83.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) said Garner was traveling north on US 83 in Jones County, near CR 123, when his vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a pipe fence.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, but officials said the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
