Another Collision Occurs After Driver Disregards Red Light

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Shortly before 4 p.m., San Angelo Police responded to a two-vehicle crash near Allsup’s Convenience Store at the intersection of Main Street and the Houston Harte Frontage Road.

Officer Rodney Mitchell said the driver of a gray Dodge Ram 3500 pickup was heading southbound on Main Street, disregarded a red light and collided with a black Chevrolet Silverado heading eastbound on the Houston Harte Frontage Road.

“He didn’t see the gray truck until they collided,” said Officer Mitchell.

Two people were checked by the medics, but no one was transported to the hospital.

Police cited the driver of the Dodge for disregarding the red light and the driver of the Chevy for failing to update information on a driver’s license.

Officers had to divert traffic off the bridge, the Frontage Rd. down Main, and blocked a section of Main St. to clear the wreckage.
