San Angelo Police Officer Mitchell said the driver of a red car was traveling eastbound on 29th St., saw a red light, disregarded it, and, in an attempt to avoid a collision, she tried to speed up. However, her attempts were unsuccessful; she collided with a blue sedan heading southbound on Chadbourne.

I swear there should be a cop on every intersection in this town watching for idiots that run red lights, stop signs, etc. San Angelo has way too many accidents caused by idiot drivers, especially on Bryant and Knickerbocker, not to mention the loop. Drivers on Bryant think they're driving at Texas Motor Speedway and they cut in front of cars right and left and plow down the street. Then there are the drivers that insist on tailgating, in an effort to get you to speed up. That's how people get into rear-end collisions, and there are a lot of them in this city as well. If you're in such a hurry to get somewhere, maybe you should have left earlier to get there on time.
