Abilene Motorcyclist Dies in Sunday Morning Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Yesterday morning at 6:47 a.m., a 49-year-old Abilene man lost his life on CR 229, about 7 miles west of Lueders in Jones County.

According to Department of Public Safety, Adam Sheridan Olson was traveling along CR 229 on a 2005 Honda motorcycle when he drove straight through a curve and struck a pipe fence. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to Abilene Professional Services.

DPS said the speed limit in the area is 60 miles per hour, and the road and weather conditions were dry and clear. Officials did not report if Olson wore a helmet or not.

Trooper Jose Salas of DPS in Anson investigated the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
