One Vehicle Crash Causes Road Closure On US 83

At this time, Department of Public Safety officials are working on a one vehicle rollover crash on US 83 that has caused a closure in the area because of a spill.

Sgt. Fred Biddle said, at around 6:35 p.m., DPS received report that a truck/tractor, towing a tanker loaded with diesel fuel, rolled over on US 83 north of Lawn. As a result, US 83 from the US 83/84 split to FM 614 is closed while crews work to clean up the spill.

US 83 southbound traffic is being rerouted by way of US 84 south, then east on FM 614, said Biddle. Also, northbound US 83 traffic is being routed westbound on FM 614, then north on US 84.

"There were no injuries in the crash," added Sgt. Biddle.
