15-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Coleman County Crash

 

COLEMAN COUNTY, TX – Yesterday evening, at around 5:34 p.m.,Texas State Trooper Tyler Moses of Coleman’s Department of Public Safety was dispatched to a major crash involving two vehicles, killing 15 year-old Devon Aaron Jeter of Coleman, Texas.

According to a DPS report, a 2015 Toyota Tundra  was traveling westbound on US 67 when the driver of a 2004 Yamaha Motorcycle, driven by Jeter, traveling south on 1st Street and the US 67 intersection, failed to yield a right of way at the intersection. As a result, the motorcycle was struck by the Tundra. 

The Toyota Tundra had two occupants in the vehicle. San Angelo residents Don Orel Seals, 42, and John Phillip Henry, 54, a passenger in the vehicle. Both were both treated and released at the scene. The young driver of the motorcycle, Devon A. Jeter, was transported immediately to Coleman County Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. His body was taken to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

Both drivers of the Toyota Tundra were wearing their seat belts. The crash is currently under investigation
