Child Not Wearing Seat Belt Goes to Hospital After Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - This evening, a crash involving two vehicles led to one child taking a trip to the hospital after sustaining injuries for not wearing a seat belt.  

San Angelo Police Officer Green reported that the driver of a white Explorer failed to stop at at the red light going onto the 4100 Block of Ben Ficklin Road. The driver of a brown Buick, heading north on South Bryant, collided with the Explorer while going through the intersection.

Officer Green said there were four people in the Explorer who appeared to not have been wearing seat belts. The Buick had one occupant. 

A child sitting on the impact side of the Explorer was transferred to Shannon Medical with a cut behind her ear, Officer Green said. Her family rode in the ambulance with the child.

Officer Green mentioned there will be citations for having the occupants of the Explorer not wearing seat belts, disregarding to stop at the red light and driving with an invalid license.
