Man Under Influence of Drugs Causes Crash in Target Parking Lot

A San Angelo man under the influence of an unknown “possible” narcotic caused a crash this afternoon in the Target parking lot on Sunset Drive.

Officer Alvarez, with the San Angelo Police Department, said he was dispatched to the location at about 1:55 p.m. During the investigation, he learned the man, who was driving a silver Jeep Commander, made too wide of a turn and struck the driver of a white KIA.

Because of his behavior, Alvarez said officers checked the driver’s vehicle.

“In the search, we did find some paraphernalia and some drugs in there,” said Officer Alvarez.

Alvarez stated the man was taken into custody and will be booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
