Fail to Yield Right of Way Crash Results in Injury and Arrest

 

Another fail-to-yield incident this morning caused a collision in the 800 block of North Baze Street. One driver went to the hospital, while another got arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Officer Brian Gesch, with the San Angelo Police Department, said around 11:30 a.m. dispatch received a call for a major motor vehicle accident in the area. When units arrived, officers learned the driver of a white Toyota 4Runner failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. As a result, the driver collided with another driver of a white Chevrolet Spark.

“The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Shannon with unknown injuries at this time,” said Officer Gesch.

During the investigation, officers also learned the driver of the Toyota had an outstanding warrant, so she was taken into custody at the scene. Officer Gesch said a citation for the crash is pending the investigation.
