Chevy Cruze Driver Fails to Wait for Green Arrow, Turns, and BAM!

The driver of a black Chevrolet Cruze made a left turn in front of a northbound Toyota Camry causing a crash at S. Bryant Blvd. at Ave. N early Thursday morning.

According to San Angelo Police Traffic Investigator Ed Hunger, the driver of the southbound Cruze was turning left (east) on a green light, but did not have the green arrow to protect the turn.

Meanwhile, northbound was the tan Camry, whose driver did not have time to stop in time to avoid crashing into the Chevrolet as it made its turn in front of incoming traffic.

The driver of the Camry was extracted from the car and rushed to Shannon Medical Center. The driver of the Cruze complained that his knees were a little sore, but was not treated.

Hunger issued the Cruze driver a citation for failing to yield the right-of-way on a left turn. The crash happened at 7:30 a.m.
