San Angelo, Beware Another Car Crash Wednesday Morning

A driver of a small white Ford pickup received a citation for failing to maintain a single lane Wednesday morning as she headed southbound on U.S. 277, said Trooper Llanas with Department of Public Safety (DPS).

"It sounds like [the driver] wasn't paying attention," Llanas said. "She said there was a vehicle in front of her, but witnesses said there was nobody in front of her."

Llanas added that the female driver, Wendy Hensley, veered off the road, came back onto it, did a couple of over corrections and started going sideways before ending up on the median and hitting a "Stop" sign.

"She was trying to make this turn, but maybe was going too fast," Llanas said.

Hensley was taken to Community Hospital after the crash with non-life-threatening injuries.
